GMT Rubber-Metal-Technic Ltd is an internationally recognised designer and supplier of rubber-metal anti-vibration mounts and shock-protection products for clients in the naval and marine industries.

A complete design services is provided using techniques that include computer modelling, multi-directional vibration analysis and finite element analysis. These methods are used to create individualised solutions to meet an application's highly specific needs.

Customers can be assured that GMT products meet their design specifications though the combination of our cutting-edge simulation techniques and physical dynamic testing in our specialist environmental chambers.

GMT provides a number of solutions that protect from shock and vibration that meet the most demanding international specifications possible in the naval industry, i.e. STANAG, MoD, MIL and BV.

Available products include engine mounts, mine hunting vessels, generators, compressors, torque / drive couplings, exhaust systems, bearings and HVAC mountings.

Products in GMT's shock vibration protection range are capable of maintaining safe operations even when experiencing overloads. Their success can be largely attributed to their failsafe design and vigorous tests they are subjected to before installation.

Mounts can be manufactured which comply with specific environmental requirements. For example, special protective, corrosion-resistant coatings can be used such as composite finishes, zinc-nickel applications or simple passivation. Alternatively materials can be used which do not require special coatings such as stainless steels and aluminium alloys.

GMT offers a variety of multi-purpose mounts that are able to isolate vibrations for use on applications such as containers, cabins, compressors, generators and pumps.

In addition, the height of multi-purpose anti-vibration mounts can be adjusted as required, with internal overload limiters available for portable devices on ships.

GMT's range of high-deflection shock mountings have been specially designed to cut the amount of shock loads experienced by sensitive equipment at sea. High-deflection shock mounts are especially useful for tempering shocks experienced by low-frequency marine equipment.

Alternative mounting varieties available include sandwich-type, thrust, cable and spring mounts.

GMT mountings meet the standards of authorities such as Lloyds Register of Shipping (LRS) and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). If you need any assistance with a specific application, please use the form on this page to get in touch with your requirements and our technical sales team will be in touch to offer an individualised solution.

A range of sizes is available from existing tooling. Some parts may be available from stock although they are normally manufactured to meet customer requirements.
