Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Appoints New Business Unit Presidents for Industrial Americas and EMEA

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions has named new presidents for the Industrial Americas and EMEA business units.

FORT WAYNE, Indiana - September 2024 - Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of precision seals, bearings and custom-molded polymer components, has named Heather Castleman president of the Industrial Americas business unit. In addition, the company has appointed Jonas Karlsson as business unit president for Industrial Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).Juergen Bosch, business area president, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, said about Castleman: “Heather has made great contributions to our success in various senior roles. With her extensive knowledge of the company and proven leadership I’m confident in her ability to guide Industrial Americas in her new role as president.”Bosch said about Karlsson: “For almost two decades Jonas has contributed significantly to our success, and I am confident that he will continue to advance our industrial business in the region, particularly growing our presence in the Middle East and Africa. I have seen for myself how Jonas’ commitment and approach has enhanced our business and he has continually demonstrated the expertise, knowledge and skills that we need to expand our industrial operations in the region.”Castleman has been a leader at Trelleborg for more than two decades. Throughout her tenure, she has been responsible for developing and implementing new business capabilities, driving sales and customer experience and improving existing programs to achieve the goals of the business. She has also contributed to the successful acquisition and integration of nearly ten companies, most notably the acquisition of Minnesota Rubber & Plastics completed in October 2022.“It’s a privilege to lead the Industrial Americas team. My primary goal is to deliver exceptional experiences for both our customers and our team members which will lead to further growth and innovation in the region,” said Castleman. “I want to thank Linda for her prior leadership and the foundational capabilities that she helped create.”Castleman takes over from Linda Muroski, who was promoted to business area president of the newly created Trelleborg Medical Solutions earlier this year. Castleman was previously the Vice President of the Industrial Americas business unit of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. She has been with the organization in various roles since 2004. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York and is a certified Institute of Leadership and Management mentor for accelerating performance and innovation.Karlsson, who holds a Master of Science in Automation Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, said: “Trelleborg excels in working with customers as an engineering partner to develop application-specific, customized solutions that add value. I am excited to lead the growth of our business by helping customers with their complex requirements."Karlsson started his career with Trelleborg in 2005 as a segment manager and has experience in business development, marketing, planning, project management and general management up to board level. Most recently he was Regional Director North and East Europe. Prior to joining Trelleborg he worked as a procurement director and a project manager for two global multinational enterprises.
