Product Description
In electric power, a bushing is an insulated device that allows an electrical conductor to pass safely through a grounded conducting barrier such as the case of a transformer or circuit breaker.
All the transformers windings are connected with the high voltage lines, therefore the end connection of the transformer should be taken care, in order to avoid flashover from the high voltage connection contact with the body of the transformer. Connection for the cables are made in the cable boxes in the secondary side for low voltage distribution transformer but in power transformer the both side of the transformer will be in high voltage Since we need specially designed device which is called bushings. Bushings are consisting of current carrying part of conducting rod in the center, bus or cable, a porcelain cylinder installed in a hole in a transformer cover and used for isolating the current carrying part.
ApplicationA transformer bushing is an insulating structure that facilitates the passage of an energized, current-carrying conductor through the grounded tank of the transformer. The conductor may be built in to the bushing, i.e., a bottom-connected bushing, or the bushing may be built with the provision for a separate conductor to be drawn through its centre, a.k.a., a draw-lead or draw-rod bushing.

The FRP is made of epoxy resin and glass fibers, which is difficult to be affected with damp. Thus, no treatment is required on the oil end of FRP bushing during transport and storage.

The FRP bushing uses silicon rubber as the external insulation, and the hydrophobic nature and hydrophobic mobility of silicon rubber shed surfaces greatly improve the anti-pollution flashover capacity of product.
e)Less maintenance
The FRP bushing is free of oil and in light weight, and the shed is fearless of collision, so installation will be easy. Oil level and internal pressure measurement and chromatographic analysis are not required during operation of bushing, so there will be less maintenance work.
